Welcome Little Lungs First Aid

Embolden Professional Dayhome Community is committed to the ongoing safety and quality of unlicensed child care in Alberta. We are very excited for our new partnership with Little Lungs First Aid.

Services they offer

Little Lungs First Aid is on a mission to create safer communities by empowering course participants with science based First Aid skills and knowledge.

Since their launch in 2017 they’ve organized a team of Red Cross instructors, Health Care Professionals, Early Childhood Educators, Lamaze Instructors, and Child Passenger Safety Technicians to build a community of proactive parents and caregivers.

Mompreneurs

Founders and long-term friends Rachel Casswell and Paige Maenhout were on a hunt for meaningful and flexible work as new mothers in 2017. Entrepreneurship, limited options for mothers looking for a balance of a flexible schedule and impactful work, a demand for more accessible First Aid training, and their background in Safety training lead them to incorporating Little Lungs First Aid in 2017.

Two Courses Now Available!

All Embolden PDC members can now access two free training workshops. They are self-paced and now reside in the member portal.

  1. Baby & Child CPR & Choking Workshop
  2. Car Seat Safety Workshop

This two workshop bundle is typically $75 through Little Lungs – but thanks to our new partnership these workshops are now available to our members FOR FREE!

Find a first aid course near you

First aid courses are available in person in Grande Prairie, Edmonton and Calgary. They are provided by Big Hearts their sister company. First aid certificates are good for three years and it is so important to keep it up to date. We hope you never need to use what you learn but if a situation arises that requires it it could make the difference in saving someone’s life.
