Session Completed – Thank You for Attending!

This workshop is a sneak peek into the Hanen Teacher Talk program! In this preview session, you’ll explore how simple, everyday interactions—like play, routines, and casual conversations—can help build strong communication and social skills in young children. It’s a great chance to experience the approach before joining the full three-session series that ADSN will be offering later this year.

This PD session has ended, but more are on the way!

ABOUT THIS SESSION

This session is a preview of the Hanen Teacher Talk™ Program, designed to give educators a taste of the practical, research-based strategies taught in the full three-part series. You’ll learn how everyday conversations, play experiences, and daily routines can be used to support children’s communication and social development—including those with language delays or who are learning English as an additional language.

In this introduction, we’ll explore how to:

  • Recognize different conversational styles and your role in supporting them

  • Use simple strategies to follow a child’s lead and build stronger back-and-forth interactions

  • Create more opportunities for meaningful communication throughout the day

If you’re curious about the Teacher Talk™ approach, this preview will help you decide whether you’d like to join the full 3-session program for a deeper dive into language, literacy, and peer interaction strategies.
