ABOUT THIS SESSION

This session is a preview of the Hanen Teacher Talk™ Program, designed to give educators a taste of the practical, research-based strategies taught in the full three-part series. You’ll learn how everyday conversations, play experiences, and daily routines can be used to support children’s communication and social development—including those with language delays or who are learning English as an additional language.

In this introduction, we’ll explore how to:

Recognize different conversational styles and your role in supporting them
Use simple strategies to follow a child’s lead and build stronger back-and-forth interactions
Create more opportunities for meaningful communication throughout the day

Does this session qualify for time release funding?

Unfortunately, based on the Alberta Child Care Funding Guide, free professional development does not qualify for Release Time Funding.
