ABOUT THIS SESSION

Dayhome environments have a unique challenge: they must meet safety standards, spark curiosity, and still function as part of your home. In this session, we’ll explore how to design spaces that are engaging, developmentally supportive, and safe—without sacrificing the warmth and comfort of your home environment. We’ll cover layout strategies that encourage independence while minimizing risks, tips for selecting materials that are both captivating and age-appropriate, and ways to set up invitations to play that promote exploration within a safe framework. You’ll leave with actionable ideas for organizing, refreshing, and maintaining your space so it continues to be a place where children thrive and you feel at home.
