Emergencies can strike without warning, but a little preparation goes a long way. In this session, we’ll explore the essentials of getting personally prepared—touching on risk awareness, basic emergency planning, and the supplies that help you stay ready when the unexpected happens.

From there, we’ll shift into the heart of the session: practical business continuity strategies tailored specifically for small, home‑based businesses. You’ll learn how to identify vulnerabilities, protect critical operations, and build simple, effective plans that keep your business running even when disruptions occur.

Whether you’re just starting to think about preparedness or looking to strengthen your continuity practices, this session offers clear guidance and actionable steps to help you stay resilient.

Does this session qualify for time release funding?

Unfortunately, based on the Alberta Child Care Funding Guide, free professional development does not qualify for Release Time Funding.
