ABOUT THIS SESSION

The early years of life lay the foundation for lifelong emotional well-being, relationships, learning, and resilience. In this 1-hour virtual workshop, participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of attachment theory and explore how early relationships shape developing brains and emotional regulation in children ages 0–3.

Together, we will look at the different attachment styles, the role responsive caregiving plays in healthy development, and how everyday moments—feeding, comforting, play, routines, and transitions—can strengthen a child’s sense of safety and connection. Participants will also gain a deeper understanding of early brain development and why consistent, nurturing relationships are so critical during infancy and toddlerhood.

This session is designed to be practical, approachable, and relevant to real-life caregiving environments. Whether you are supporting children in a dayhome, childcare, or home setting, you will leave with simple strategies you can immediately implement to help foster secure attachment, emotional growth, and positive early experiences.
