Through practical strategies, guided reflection, and real-world application, Teacher Talk helps educators become more intentional in the way they communicate with children, creating richer conversations, stronger relationships, and more opportunities for learning throughout the day.
Participants leave with practical tools they can immediately use to encourage children’s language development, support communication skills, and create engaging interactions that promote learning through everyday experiences.
Why choose Teacher Talk facilitated by ADSN?
Teacher Talk is a valuable program for all early childhood educators, but taking it through ADSN makes the experience especially meaningful for dayhome providers.
Tailored for Dayhomes
While Teacher Talk was designed for a variety of early learning settings, ADSN delivers the program through the lens of dayhome practice. Discussions, examples, and reflections are grounded in the realities of family dayhomes, including mixed-age groups, daily routines, caregiving responsibilities, and the unique opportunities that arise in small-group environments.
Facilitated by a Dayhome Professional & SLPA
Danielle Bourdin is a certified Hanen Teacher Talk facilitator, Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), and Executive Director of ADSN. Drawing on her experience as both a dayhome educator and an SLPA supporting children’s communication development, Danielle brings a unique perspective to the program. She helps participants connect Teacher Talk strategies to the real-life interactions they have with children every day, making the learning practical, relevant, and immediately applicable within a dayhome setting.
