ABOUT THIS SESSION

Fire safety is essential in every child care setting. Join us for an engaging and informative session led by a Fire Prevention Officer from Edmonton Fire. Together, we’ll explore practical strategies to prevent fires, respond effectively in an emergency, and ensure your dayhome meets safety best practices.

This session will cover:

  • Common fire hazards in dayhome environments and how to reduce them

  • Creating and practicing effective fire evacuation plans

  • Proper use and maintenance of smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, and other safety equipment

  • How to teach children about fire safety in an age-appropriate way

Whether you’re looking to update your fire safety knowledge, meet licensing standards, or simply make your home a safer place, this session will provide valuable tools and insights you can put into action right away.
