Maximizing Observations with Canva
THURSDAY, MAY 8 FROM 6:30PM - 8:30PM
ABOUT THIS SESSION
Maximizing Observations with Canva is an enlightening session designed to equip early childhood educators and dayhome providers with the knowledge and tools to effectively utilize observations within their programs. The session will equip providers with essential skills for conducting effective observations in early learning environments, teaching various techniques for observing children’s development and behaviours and guiding daily programming. Then, we’ll take some time to explore the use of Canva to make the learning visible. Participants will learn to create customized documentation that highlights individual children’s discoveries, questions, and developmental milestones. By leveraging Canva’s user-friendly design tools, educators can transform their observations into professional-looking newsletters, portfolios, and documentation panels. This approach not only makes learning visible to parents and families but also emphasizes the importance of observation in early learning, allowing providers to communicate each child’s progress creatively and clearly.
