ABOUT THIS SESSION

When a child experiences a big life change, the impact often ripples into the dayhome environment. Starting care, moving to a new home, welcoming a sibling, or adjusting to new family circumstances can lead to shifts in behavior, emotions, and needs that challenge even the most experienced provider.
In this workshop, we’ll explore how these transitions can affect your dayhome routines, group dynamics, and emotional energy—and how to navigate them with confidence. You’ll learn strategies to help children settle and adjust, maintain consistency for the whole group, and manage your own stress during these times. By supporting children effectively through transitions, you can create a stable, calm environment that works for both them and you.
