ABOUT THIS 6 part course
We are excited to offer Reaching In Reaching Out (RIRO) training to the dayhome community! RIRO is a 6-part resilience training program designed to help early childhood educators develop social-emotional learning skills to support themselves and the children in their care. This training will take place over six evening sessions from 6:30–9:00 PM on the following dates:

The cost for this program is $100, which will be fully refunded for private providers who attend all six sessions. Registered providers can request PD Funding after completing all sessions.
Space is limited, and priority will be given to private educators. If you are interested in participating, please complete this form to express your interest. You will be contacted if a spot is available for you.

FAQ
RIRO is a 12 hr training intensive that includes rich group discussion and information sharing.
This is not a typical ADSN PD where cameras can be off and you are permitted to sit in and listen.
If you apply to be considered for RIRO Training, please understand that there is an expectation that cameras are on and participants are engaging in discussion and share their experiences as appropriate and when comfortable.
RIRO becomes more powerful when we create a safe and welcoming environment where participants feel comfortable to share with one another.
ADSN has received grant funding from the Government of Alberta specifically to support private dayhome providers, ensuring they have access to high-quality professional development at low or no cost. Unlike registered providers, private providers do not have access to government PD funding. To make training more accessible, private providers who complete all six sessions will have their $100 fee fully refunded.
Registered providers can submit for Professional Development (PD) funding to cover the cost of the sessions.
Because space is limited to 15 participants, we may not be able to accommodate all those who apply. If you are not selected, we will keep your information on file and reach out to you when the next round of RIRO is being offered.
Yes! A certificate will be available for those who attend all 6 sessions live.
No, sorry! This course requires active discussion and participation that you would not be able to do with a replay. Please check your calendar and confirm that you can attend all 6 sessions.
We have submitted a request for both PD Funding and 15 hours of Release Time. Stay tuned!
Unfortunately, ADSN is unable to accommodate those who miss any sessions of the RIRO program. It is extremely important that you are able to attend each of the sessions. Failure to complete 1 or more sessions means we cannot offer you a certificate of completion and you will be unable to receive reimbursement for the program cost.
RIRO is a program developed by Wellington County in Ontario. You can learn more here.
