Navigating Grief and Loss for Dayhomes

Navigating Grief and Loss

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 13 FROM 630PM - 830PM

ABOUT THIS SESSION

Join us for this Grief and Loss Workshop tailored specifically for dayhome providers. As caregivers, you play a crucial role in supporting children through various forms of loss and change. This workshop, led by Charlie, a registered therapist with over 15 years of experience, will equip you with essential tools to guide children through challenging life transitions. Learn how to effectively support children in your care as they navigate losses like divorce or separation, death of a family member or pet, moving to a new home or neighbourhood, changing schools or daycare, loss of friendships and more.

Charlie will share age-appropriate strategies and practical techniques to help you recognize grief in children, create a supportive environment for emotional expression, maintain routines to provide stability, communicate effectively about loss and change, and collaborate with parents to ensure consistent support.
