ABOUT THIS SESSION

Join us for a practical professional development session titled “Managing Routines, Behaviors, and Expectations: Leveraging Your Early Learning Environment.” Designed for dayhome providers, this workshop will equip you with effective strategies to create smoother routines and manage challenging behaviors. You will learn to set clear expectations through age-appropriate behavioural guidelines and explore how to organize your space to support positive behaviour. We’ll discuss the importance of a consistent daily schedule and effective transition strategies that help children feel secure. Additionally, you’ll gain insights into fostering independence by encouraging self-help skills and offering choices. The session will also cover methods for managing challenging behaviours through redirection and calm-down spaces. Ideal for early childhood educators and caregivers, this workshop will provide you with actionable strategies to transform your learning environment into one that promotes positive behaviour, independence, and a love for learning.
