GET VERIFIED

Learn more about our OPTIONAL verification process to help bring additional visibility and credibility to your dayhome program.

Why Should I Get Verified?

Dayhome verification is an optional process within the ADSN Community where we give you the opportunity to submit some critical safety documents in exchange for “verified” status within our members-only directory. Once you have submitted valid supporting documents, you’ll be considered a “verified” member.

Do I Need To Be Verified To Access Member Exclusive Content?

No! While you do need to have an ADSN Membership to access our members-only content, you do not need to be verified to take full advantage of your membership. Our verification process is completely voluntary – but we highly recommend it. If you are not a verified member, you will not have a clickable profile in our members-only directory and parents will be unable to learn more about your dayhome. We highly recommend becoming a verified member of ADSN, but it is not mandatory.

Our Unique Directory

ADSN is home to the very first verified dayhome directory in Alberta. This means that each dayhome is vetted prior to being featured on our website.

Our directory provides a unique opportunity for dayhome providers to spotlight their commitment to safety and quality, especially for private providers who are often barred from participating in the dayhome sector in meaningful ways. Families seeking trusted child care can confidently explore our directory, while providers can showcase their dedication to quality care. Join us in elevating dayhome care standards and building a community of trust.

Members

Each member of ADSN has a listing in the ADSN Directory. However, until each member has submitted their supporting documents, they will have a limited profile and parents will be unable to connect with them. To unlock a full profile, members submit their supporting documents for verification. Members can check out their directory by clicking the button below.

About Your Listing

All ADSN Members are listed in the Directory.

Our members-only directory is an excellent way for you to showcase your commitment to providing quality dayhome child care in Alberta.

Plus once verified, you’ll get a special spotlight across our social media.

Unverified directory listings show limited information until members submit their documents to become verified. Once verified, parents will be able to connect with you.

Becoming Verified

To unlock a clickable profile in the ADSN Directory, you first need to become a verified member. Once verified, you’ll unlock a fully functional listing where parents can view all of your dayhome information and connect with you.

To become verified you’ll need to provide ADSN with proof of:

If you’re not sure where to access these documents – read on to learn more about each one and how you can obtain them.

City of Calgary Private Dayhomes

If you live in the City of Calgary, and run a private dayhome, you are required to obtain a City of Calgary Business License. Since this license requires you to obtain a Criminal Record Check and show proof of valid first aid, you can use your Business License as your supporting document.

Supporting Documents

Criminal Record Check

This document can be obtained from your local law enforcement agency. This could be your local police department or the RCMP – depending on your location.

While most record checks are done in person at a local detachment – there are some municipalities that have started to process Criminal Record Checks online.

First Aid

Choose an organization who provides a recognized OH&S course and take the Standard First Aid CPR/ AED C.

All dayhome providers in Alberta enjoy the lowest rates for first aid training when booking through our partner Big Hearts.

Intervention Record Check

This optional check searches the Children’s Services database to see if you have ever put your child(ren) in need of intervention – regardless if you have a criminal record. While we do not require an Intervention Record Check in order to become verified we will feature this document on your listing.
