ABC and Beyond is all about creating literacy-rich experiences through incidental, everyday interactions and book reading. You’ll learn how to make the most of your conversations to build early literacy skills in a way that is natural and fun.

ABC & Beyond is a research-based professional learning program developed by The Hanen Centre to help early childhood educators support children’s language, emergent literacy, and early reading development through everyday interactions and experiences.

If you aren’t able to gather a group of 10 educators, we also offer regular public intakes for educators. These open sessions bring together providers from across Alberta to learn, connect, and strengthen their practice while supporting children’s language and early literacy development.
